Default he351/s475

I am going to build a healthy diesel..
im getting ready to tear down the truck and refresh the bottom end..
ill o ring and stud the heads..
also port and polish the heads..
im going to add a port to the intercooler so I can get more flow in and out.
im going to make a custom 2 horn intake manifold..

ill be doing all this hopefully to make reliable power.

my questions are:

1.) is the HE351 over a S475 a good setup
2.) how much boost will this set up make?
3.) what motor mods do I need to do to make my truck get them most out of the boost? (larger valves, cam, timing, and more?)
4.) I plan to open the waste gate port on the 351 but will it be enough to reduce line pressure?

The answer to all of your questions depends on your overall power goals of the truck. Overall boost is going to depend on your overall set up, other motor mods depend on how much money your willing to spend and what number your after. The gate port on the 351 can be opened up a good bit and does a good job for what it is on controlling pressures ... but again depending on what your after it may or may not be the best choice.

can any one clarify what the difference is between a S475 1.10 and a 1.32?
I have searched all over the Google and cant find the answer...
I am also looking at a S475 vs a S472 if any one with experience has used these turbos

I would guess 325 ish at the tire

for that power goal the turbos you listed will work very well. Since your already planning on porting your head you wont need any other motor mods to hit your goal.

Different trubines the s475 with the 1.1 t6 has the smallest s400 turbine being the 74/83 the s475 with the 1.32 has the biggest s400 turbine being the 88/96.

I would go with a s475 over the s472 spool about the same with the s475 giving more top end.
