Default Low power

So just recently installed laser cuts and 5x.018 injectors. Also deleted the afc and pulled my plate. The truck makes good power but not as much as I hoped and it barely smokes. What could cause this? Is my convertor to loose maybe? I have 40-45 psi of fuel pressure, I woukd have expected this setup to be really dirty.

not really sure how its not smokey. thats kind of a terrible set up for a street truck with the size of turbo you have. for all that fuel your timing is fairly low at 16.5. and not sure why you'd want this set up for any other reason then to smoke. it won't really produce much power over a properly sized set up. your pump could be going bad which might cause the lack of smoke. or you may just be lucky that some how with your foot controlling the fuel somehow everything works in harmony. the truck i work on for a buddy has a bd special with 5x16 sacs, 191 dv and 20 degrees of timing plus other stuff and we could smoke out the world if we set the afc live that way. so not sure why yours isn't. it also could be your definition of barely smokes if you were expecting to block out the sun but you can only black out a couple city blocks. either way that set up is kind of aggressive for everything else you have unless your planning to make it a pull or drag truck.

It hazes a little under full throttle from a dead stop, there really aint much smoke at all. There is seriously only a haze when I get on it and it clears right up. It leaves less smoke than a stock truck with no fuel plate. Could this be the p pump going out? The truck is going to be mostly a drag truck, but on the rare occasion street driven.

Make sure your shutdown solenoid is working correctly

That is very odd. I couldn't even imagine it not being a freight train of smoke. It seems like you may be lacking fuel. With no afc you should have full fuel at full throttle under no boost it should just dump fuel. So that's very weird. And I highly doubt by removing all the tuning parts that your set up would work perfectly. If your getting fuel pressure like you said. And your injectors are obviously getting fuel. I can only imagine maybe what 94 said and maybe the solenoid isn't opening all the way. Or maybe the pump is shitting the bed. But I don't know how to tell that.

I will take a look at the shut off solenoid, if thats not it I guess ill be pulling the pump to get benched. Also when the truck warms up and I put it in drive the rpms drop to 350 and in park its at 900. That just started happening.

Id make sure forsure your getting the proper fuel pressure and what not. I've had air dogs fail so if you don't have a fuel pressure that may be a good idea. And just check for air leaks and all that. Seems kinda like a lp failure. There's other things that could affect it. After you check all the low pressure stuff then you can start narrowing it to the ip

This sounds like a little like the governor assembly going, although when mine went I didn't have any low power issues.
