After replacing the batteries (they failed a load test), and testing out the alternator finally figured out the charging issue. The cables! Clamps looked ok but, they just wouldn't pass along the voltage. No more fluctation in Volt gauge, gone are the flickering headlights and the GEN light does not turn on anymore.

It always the simple things in the end, isn't it?
