Default 12v pump question

I pumped up one of my 12v cummins (180hp pump) in all I did was a #0 fuel plate wide open, afc housing wide open boost elbow but did not mess with this little so called "smoke screw" on the back of the housing. Will that effect my power output at all?

As in would I get more power out of her if I mess with that smoke screw?

The screw your talking about is called the pre boost screw. It is used as a fine tuning tool for your AFC. As the name says all it will do is add more fuel before boost is made.

With proper adjustment you can have faster spool up and less lag. It's all explained in the links I posted.

When you say your AFC is "Wide Open" what exactly do you mean?

The starwheel is maxed out and the afc housing is full forward.
