Default Red GEN light
I just recently bought a 1997 2nd gen 12 valve and the red GEN just came on this morning. Would this be the alternator or wiring. If any one could help I would appreciate it

You can check the fuse box in the engine bay and see if the alternator fuse blew.

if the fuse blew .. U might want to make sure the wiring hasn't shorted to ground ( that would be a fire waiting to happen ) .. if all is good with the fuse .. have the alternator checked
