Anyone got any suggestions on some cheaper upgrades or things I can do to my truck for more power and speed

Give us a list of mods, and what you consider as "cheap"
What kind of speed? Top speed? 0-60?

Well .. Start with a set of studs so you dont end up with a leaking HG ..

Then when you get that taken care of .. you can play quite abit ... up to you though .. I spent nearly 2K just to fix it .. and that was just a leaker under t-stat .. if the coolant goes into your oil .. You will require bearings real soon ..

And with that said .. the fuel plate is a great place to start .. push it all the way forward and see how it does - ( Please Dont be a Punk and let your truck smoke like a train .. its really bad on your truck and looks bad and gets nothing but bad carma for the Diesel Community as a whole ) ..

then you can do IP timing ( if your truck is a 180 then about 18-20* IS ABOUT MAX ) ..

THEN ... Start doing things for Efficency like bettering your air flow with an Intake, Big pipe kit , Big Exhaust, Big air cleaner , Etc ..
