Default 98 12 valve slight ticking when cold

Ok i just noticed the other day while driving i have a slight ticking noise.. once the temp needle starts to move it goes away.. i dont hear it at idle only as slight throttle.. and after i get up to about 1500 rpm it goes away.. so basically i only hear it from 1000 ti 1500 rpm.. it sounds like its coming from the back of the engine near firewall.. i did adjust the valves about 2 months ago and replaced lift pump.. any suggestions? Thanks!

OFV .. the return line is ticking .. I would make a bet that your fuel pressure is lower than 20 pis @ idle too...

But what makes is only do it when engine is cold? And why only at light throttle not at idle or heavy throttle? It sounds like its coming from the #6 cylinder valves... like right on the other sode of my firewall
