wondering if any body else has had this problem. truck will start loseing power after 2000-2200 rpm it will drop back to about 1900rpm and then pick back up and drop off again almost like its hitting a governor not sure if lift pump will cause that? afc is slide forward, preboost screw turned in, star wheel adjusted, 0 cut fuel plate, washer mod

Sounds like the stock governer springs like stated but if you have any mechanical skill at all gov spring is a simple install. Just don't loose the spacers behind the stock springs. There's many write ups and videos on how to do it. Takes about 30-40 min to do.

Thanks for the reply. I know with stock gov springs the truck starts to de-fuel at about 2300rpm. my truck us to be able to climb to 150kmh with no prob with all the pump mods with in the last month or so it starts dying at 120 and then will pick up a pit then start dying again and so on. can the gov springs screw up at all??

id say its more then likely fuel pressure if its something like that. never heard of it dying then coming back on. id hook up a fuel press gauge and see whats up.

I was kinda fuel issue that's why I was wondering if the mechanical lift pumps get weak or if they just stop working. were is the best place to tap into the fuel system to check the pressure?

you can get a snubber from tork tek and its a banjo fitting that replaces the stock banjo for the fuel inlet to the injection pump. to test fuel at speed though you will need a permanent gauge or run a temp one into the cab. it may be you lp but more often then not it is your ofv which tork tek also sells. they are a cheap and worth it investment the only downside/ choice you have to make when getting a after market ofv is are you keeping the stock style lift pump or are you switching to a fass or air dog type electric pump. that will determine which style ofv you get. so you might find that now is the time to get the fass or other brand electric pump you've been wanting.
