So I had some weak batteries in my truck so I repaced them and now when I try to start my truck I get a longer slower crank but the second I give it some fuel it starts right up..any ideas?

 

Could be bad battery connections .. Check your cables.. pull back some of the insulation and look for corosion .. if there is any .. Replace cables with good high quality cables..

 

I checked cables and they didn't seem like they had any, the positve wire leading into the secondary battery was really covered in oxidation and I clean it but it didn't seem to help

 

Might have a bad starter .. ?

 

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, I took it to my friends shop last night to change out the fuel level sensor and he's gonna check out the starter for me

my truck was doing the same thing. I put new batteries on it last friday but it still started slow. I put a new starter on it last night and it starts great now.
