Back in black, with a basket case.
Welded to a flange you will at least be paying whatever distributer you get from to machine the ext housing to an hx40 dp and dish out the 100-200 for a seperate hx40 dp. Not that any of that is negative but it's something to account for. Turns a 600$ turbo into a 1000$ turbo quick and you may have to swap manifolds unless you get an adapter and you won't have a wastegate. Once you spend the money to get any of that other stuff your approaching the 1500 mark and it will won't spool as good as a t3 bd super or killer. Box turbos are more suited for more performance oriented trucks. For a nice reliable toy 400 horse ish a super or killer is perfect and a nice package deal. But again that is preference and will to change other parts and match things
By the time you're done reengineering that truck the only part left that will be dodge is the part that rusts... because it's a dodge LOL

That's OK by me.
I can get a DT360 with an Eaton OD transmission of one form or another for a thousand bucks. 34,000 miles on the engine.
Next summer might see me ditch the big red C.
It's that or an out of frame for the engine I think.

And here we are now. With plates on the perches. So the axle is swapped!
I need about 800 in parts now to finish it.
Chiefly being, a set of hubs. Cause the Ford hubs I traded my DRW hubs for, don't work.
I really regret that trade. Shoulda just run the DRWs with dually wheels.

Also, might be getting a cab and box for FREE! From a v10 truck which is donating its driveline to a friends 84 powerwagon. Which is good cause mine has some rust issues. Cab swap will be a big job but....what have I got to be scared of? Haha!
Also, sounds like I may run a set of super duty mirrors in the coming year. A friend is holding a set for me. Power/heated/signals.
Decided against the dt360 swap. It's a little much. I'd like to keep the big red C, unless I can get a properly worked over 6.0 ford in there, just to **** off the fan boys.

Whoop, steering is figured out.
Need a high steer arm, a Chevy 1 ton TRE and a dodge pitman arm TRE. And a 34 5/8 tube. Woot!
Hell I don't know how but the link is even gonna sit fricking flat!

I was out in the bush getting firewood one day after a snowfall, and I essentially got myself into a place far from home that I shouldn't have been in. After pushing snow with the grille in an open diff truck in and out, I basically cratered the front end. Running out with a load of fir firewood that filled the box and was up to the roof didn't help.
So when I priced it out, it was going to be a good 1600 in parts alone to fix it.
A friend said "why not throw a kingpin diff with leafs under It?"
And so started the adventure
So I did the clutch back in April with an oem Femco clutch. Not hugely happy with it for 400 bucks. But it'll do.

Then I did injectors.

Nice 5x.012 SACs.
Then I snagged this whole thing for 400 bucks. And after having a look, it's in great shape minus the dented tie rod. Took a chance, bought it sight unseen, and it paid off.
