Default 47rh issues

I've got a '66 F100 that I swapped a 12 valve into, and after burning up a getrag, I rebuilt a 47rh (my 4th or 5th to rebuild) and swapped it in. It worked great for about 10,000 miles. I pulled the motor to do a p pump swap and took the trans out too, sealed off all the ports, and covered it to keep moisture out. I've got everything back in and now it will only go in reverse, no forward gears at all. Reverse engages perfect, RPM's drop like they should and it doesn't slip. What do y'all think could be causing this? Any help is appreciated.

Drew

Sounds like your having a VB issue .. I would pull the pan and inspect for possible debris ...

If you can post a pic of the pan findings ...

I'll pull the vb on Friday. I was hoping it wasn't a VB issue. I jacked up the rear end to see what was happening in all gear positions and it creeps in neutral, so i'm thinking vb also. Put it in drive and second, nothing changes. Put it in 1 and the wheels stop spinning. I'll post pics when I get it all pulled out.

No trans brake. Hopefully it's just something sticking in the vb. It's been sitting for a few months. I appreciate your help man.

Will do. Shouldn't be too bad out of adjustment. It's only got 10,000 since it was replaced. I'll post pics of what I find.

Pulled the VB and did an air pressure test on the trans. Blown rear clutch seal. Time for rebuild number 2.....
