Gonna swap out my open 3.54 rear with a 4.11 gear posi rear axle. I can't find anyone that sells any speedometer gears for it. I don't know if there's a way you recalibrate it or what you have to do to get the correct mph reading after I swap it.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

i think you will need a 35 tooth. if i recall right thats what i used when i went from 3.54's to 4.10's and 33 inch tires.

the speed odometer gets its reading out of the transmission. you can get the correct part at the dealership and probably at most any parts stores.

 

not if it is a 4x4 it comes out of the transfer case.

 

I went from 3.55's from 4.10's .. and yeah . Its way the Heck off !!!!

 

yes sir you are right. i had done it on a 2wd and forgot to put in there that the 4wd came out of the transfer case.
