Default 4k problems

So I just installed 60# valve springs and 4k governor springs over the weekend. Install went alright by following the directions and from what I read on here. But I'm having a couple problems. My throttle pedal seems to be max fueling between half and 3/4 throttle. Anything after that seems to do nothing more. My other problems I'm experiencing is if I really get into it or rev in neutral it floats or bounces right at about 3000rpms I think it would rev past that especially in neutral. Not that I need to be reving 4000rmps but I think I should be able to get closer then what I tested it at. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. And I set the gov springs as close to the .04-.05 and I also tried the click method also. Both had similar results.

Did you get all the old shims out? Sounds like the GSK is too loose and needs to be taken in a click or two to allow you to get past that 3000 RPM mark. Fuel could be as simple as making sure your AFC is set up properly.

All Shims Came Out With Old Keepers. Can I Safely Keep Adjusting Tighter On The GskI? And The Afc Got Adjusted A Little When I First Got The Pickup, So Will Adjusting The Star Wheel Again Help Put Me In A Better Range? Is That Possibly A Factor With My Problem also?

still should rev to 4k even with a stock overflow, you are sure it was a 4k kit and not a 3k?

im with dave
i had a stock overflow with a 4 gsk and it was fine
i would go in a few more clicks on the springs
did you use the dial caliper or just count the clicks
the hardest gsk ive installed to date is the cds 5k gsk very touchy kit

Everything said 4k and it was the three new springs per side. And it gets to 3000 fast then bounces like it should go farther.
I tried initially setting it as close to the .04 - .05 and was no where near what was expected so then I restarted and used the click method and it was a big step in the right direction. So I think I'm going to try a couple more clicks in like you said and see if that gets me anywhere.
Thanks for the help guys

Let us know how it goes, it does sound like you are too loose and if is hitting governor to soon.
