Default Classic crank wont start

I have a 97 12 valve automatic. I bought it back in February and since i bought it'll crank but wont start. I always just push the throttle a little bit and fires right up. The fuel shutoff solenoid pops up like it should so i have no idea! Anyone have an idea what it could be?

What's all done to the truck, that's how I start mine but I have supporting mods for a 400-500hp 12v which messes with starting

I would Check it by hand while someone is cranking ... just a little bit off the adj and it wont start at all ...

Adjust your idle ... that should help with starting ..

if none of that helps .. Check Fuel pressure @ crank speed .... Keep us posted .....

Will it start again after you have fired it, or is this every time, no matter when it ran last?

It takes a few seconds to fire and some times it won't fire at all, just crank

I would guess fuel pressure or no the Shut-down Solenoid is not going quite far enough to completly allow it to fire up .. I would dis-connect it .. and try it manually or check to make sure it has power and good ground...

I replaced the fuel filter when I bought it, but it probably could use a change, and I'll try that after work today
