Default timing change, what gains will come?

alright I am wondering what gains I will get changing my timing, right now I am stock timing, and I will be going to 18 or 19* im mostly wondering about power gains.

its not necessarily about power but where the power will come in @ ....

by running the timing up more your giving the engine a better chance to burn the fuel @ higher RPM's ... and to do it more efficently

Some power will be made because of the better burn though

From what I am seeing, unless you are below factory timing, you will not see power gains until top end. If anything, you can lose at the low end. Having said that, I have not done any timing bumps yet so I can only relay what I have been reading.

no .. it actually picked up just a bit more velocity in the bottom end ... but its not all the hype ... its better off tunin g it right .. if you have big sticks ... they deliver more fuel in less duration on the engine ... Hence you actually have a little bit of an advance there just due to the way your fuel is delivered ...

Right. Timing is about better mpg at higher speeds and lower EGTs, not power.

4x4, you have 4:10s? I'm somewhere between 75-80 @ 2K.
