Default 95 cummins cat fuel filter upgrade

Anyone know the factory micron rating for 95 cummins fuel filter? Id like to go to maybe a cat 2 micron but preferably keep factory filter head and location. Im running the regular mechanical lift pump and a inline 4 psifactory lift pump that was on the truck when it had a 6.5. If i used a 2 micron you think my pressure and flow will be ok?

I ran twin cat 1R-0749 Fuel Filters, it is a 4 micron on my 05, but i bypassed the stock crap and had a Holley black pump pushing it and had no problems with flow at all.

Realistically 10 Microns is sufficent .. the human hair width is 100 microns .. So .. 10 is 10X smaller than that ... should go through an injector just fine .. anything smaller is just a waste of time ...

Sufficient for a 12 valve probally. I wouldnt trust a 10 on a common rail or duramax...wonderin if any cat filters screw right on to our factory housings though...from what ive seen cat filters are a good price and you can go wrong with a cat logo under the hood

Yeah thats why i posted that it would work for the 12v ...

The major killers for the D-max and the PSD or CR engines isnt really the microns but the water content of the fuel .. as this will Hydraulic the injector bending the internals or blowing internals apart and hence the major issue is water removal over microns filtered ...
