I'm looking at a 1995 12 valve with 300k miles. What's it worth? What can I check/watch for. I've know they can go forever, but there's good and bad to them all.

Thanks

Manual would be worth a bit more ..

Smoke coming out of blowbye tube ... When running check hit a d cold, does it shift smooth, rust currently, interior damage, if u can, have a local shop check it over for anything that ya have to climb under the truck to check ..

There's alot to check with a truck with that many miles. Not only the info given above, but suspension components as well, inspect the frame for cracks or twisting, welding repairs on the frame. Condition of the wiring. You would almost have to go inch by inch for a thorough inspection. You dont really know what that truck has been through and how it was maintained.

the blow bye tube will should be just in front of the starter oon the drivers side of engine ..

ake it to a shop for a " TEST DRIVE " ... get an oppinion from someone who wants to pick it apart to make some money .... they will give you all the info ... usually works great
