Default 94 cummins weird clutch issue

ok well some of you have seen my 1/2 ton build. I didn't change anything during the swap. just pulled the motor and set it in the 1/2 ton and done some wiring. so this is a stock or stock replacement clutch unknown miles. with the 4k gov springs and pump turned up obvious the clutch was prolly not going to hold. and it slipped in 4th&5th no biggie driving normal no issues. late last wk the 5thgear nut fell off. im out of vehicles now since I broke the bell housing on my 08. so I have been driving the truck easy back and forth to work about 12 miles a day until I can fix it this wkd. now the clutch is sliping like crazy. my clutch pedal is pushed all the way up with quite a bit of pressure. way more clutch movement then what I had in the last few days or in the first of my build. im not worried about it. I was just curious of what guess's everyone has. it slips so bad taking off in 2nd its a slow go. I was almost thinking the pressure plate loosing up and the fingers on the pressure plate pushing against the hydros?? whats your thoughts?

Yeah sounds like your clutch disc is getting so thin your PP is having a hard time providing clamp to something that thin .. gonna need to upgrade either way ( now's a good time ..

Hahaha ya I have never seen one act like this unless its just throwing the complete pads off. If I was pulling a trailers my truck wouldn't move. I havean extra sbdd and g56. I know theg56 is not the greatest choice. But I think it should be OK for no more power I'm putting down

I'm around 550 (give or take a few) in my 6.7. Keep breaking bellhousings. Don't know but I figured I'm not pushing any good numbers out of my 12v. But i Already have it all so why not.

try getting a race spec bell housing ... like a steel one or something stronger ... or something is outta wack , making sure your engine mounts are in good shape, and trans mount is good too ...

I Had to make my chevy a set of solid mounts @ 500HP .... kept breaking bell housings, trans mounts and the such ... those damn 383's have some good torque .... rock climbing is hard on parts ..LOL

On the g56 the case and the housing is one peice but I am going to try and build case stiffener. My last one broke at the starter and the adapter plate.

I was looking at Solid mounts in my Samurai as it is a Geared monster, however the Solid mounts on the T case along with the Mighty Kong to put the case in actually solved my twist issues, so I would also suggest checking your mounts all around as the likely culprit for the Bellhousing issues. 4x4manonbroke what do you wheel?
