Default confirmation on an injector

I have a guy that is relatively local to me offering what he calls 90HP injectors for $400 CAN BNIB. When I inquired he only knows that they are Bosch and 7mm 4x13 with 155* pattern. These seem to me to be the 300HP marine injector. I have found them in the States selling new at around $300. What I have read is that although they are the wrong pattern they do not smoke like the 370. Having said that I am not convinced that this is a worth investment vs a proper set of say DDP 90HP units. If I could get them for cheaper is it worth it or shall I avoid them? Input is appreciated as I have literally read until I am blue in the face over dawn injector options .

Thanks
Rob

I have looked at them as well, I am trying to find items I can purchase through a Canadian distributor as the Brokerage fees kill you coming across the border. You lucky buggers south of that magical line are in a way better position for parts . I may have to bite the bullet and see what it will cost me to get a set up here. Especially when I am looking at $840 US for DDP 90HP injectors and I would say the DAP 5x14 would be a close equivalent to them at $300 less.

I have a buddy here at work that is "half American" not sure about the other half though he is able to have parts sent to his Aunt and then bring them up. We will have to see if the supplier will ship to an address other than the card holder address. That or if I can find a supplier that accepts on line funds transfers.

also i think 300 injectors are 4x12 which puts the cross section area just over a stock 215hp injector size which is a 5x10.25

I have spoken with this gentleman again and he has conformed that this is an injector that is converted from the old 9mm units for the non turbo first gen trucks to a 7mm so it can be used in the newer trucks.

I am thinking I agree. I am going to check with a local shop about a rebuild on my spare set and new nozzles vs the idea of ordering the DAP 5x14 units.
