Default exhaust opinions

OK so I'm still new here and all but looking around I didn't see much for a debate or even real recommendations for the "best" exhaust for a 94-95 12v Cummins. Ya know the stock sluggish early second gen....yea. The entire exhaust has been rusted out and I am looking to put in a top notch system but I figured I'd stop here first. So let's hear what ya got or why you chose it. I

I bought a Diamond Eye off Ebay for $369.00 free shipping and its 5" aluminized so even the salty stuff won't make it rust, sounds great and was real easy to install, you will need a band saw and or a good hack saw to trim for you length of truck .... The hangers were spot on, looks awesome and sounds freeking sweet....

I recently got pulled over .... Light out, the cop said he liked the sound .... Mine is straight piped also ... Can beat the price and installation was fun for me to do

Salt will make aluminized rust. SS holds up better to salt.

Yea I live in Vermont. Salt eats everything. But I'm sure there are stainless options on almost all exhaust systems

I went with an MBRP 4" turbo back into dual 5" stacks and I love it, some people do not like the noise of the stacks, but I figure it gets me out of those Hun lets talk conversations so I love it.

LMAO !!!!!! Too Funny ...

I was under the impression that aluminized would not rust ... or maybe not as fast ( not like i could have forgotten anything ..) ..

The coating on the pipe is thin and will wear off eventually and allow rust. Good SS is best but it is costly.

I'm sure the 94-95 options are no different than the 96-98 ones. They're all so cheap on ebay that I wouldn't concern yourself overmuch with how long they will last. I have well over 100,000 miles on my 4" MBRP that I paid a few hundred for, and even though this is a plow truck it still looks fine. It's holding up better than the body of the truck, that's for damn sure. And when it starts to wear out, I'll go back on ebay and get another one for another few hundred dollars. I'm sure I've already gotten my money's worth out of it, and it looks like it has years of health left. Maybe if your truck spends most of it's life sitting in the dirt a stainless system would be worth it, but if it gets driven regularly I'm pretty sure any aluminized system will still be fine a decade after you've forgotten what you paid for it. Stainless... I don't think that's a price you'll ever forget.
