Well i tore my tranny down today and the front half is ok. I have a master rebuild kit and new Valair converter. Gotta buy a new pump though. When i got into the overdrive unit the guts are pretty well welded together and it chewed up the housing. I have been looking around to find a whole new unit but have had no luck. Does anyone know where a good place to get a complete unit is or does any one have a good one that just needs new clutches and steels i am up for buying that too since i have the master rebuild kit and have clutches and steels for it. Any help is appreciated. It is getting old driving my 56 ford pickup with no power anything.

 

I've got a complete 47rh I'll sell. Supposedly had a complete rebuild but needed a valve body, but I have no clue of the quality. I'll sell it at core prices and you handle the shipping if interested.

Depends on what your willing to pay. Haha. Just kidding, I'd like $250 which would include packaging it up on a pallet ready for pickup. As I said it needs a valve body but otherwise looks like a solid unit. Haven't torn it down just visual observations.
