Default What kind of exhaust tip is the best

Hey bombers! I'm looking into getting a exhaust tip for my 97 cummins and was wondering what kind I should get. I just had my cat and muffler cut off and a straight pipe added a couple weeks ago. Now I need a good tip to go with. I believe its 3in pipe all the way to the back where its going to 4in stock tip. I wanna go with a 6in tip so what do I need? Do I need 4'' in and 6'' out or 3'' in and 6'' out? Whats your guys thoughts? Whats the best tip for around 50-60 bucks?

I don't think 4" is stock on these trucks. Either way, IMO stepping up more than 1" on the tip looks a little silly, like you're trying to look like you have a bigger system than you have. Just my two cents. Regardless, I really like the quality and looks of MBRP dual wall slash cut tips, and they're easily in your projected price range.

Gotta get a bigger exhaust with a 6in tip!It might sound cool with a 3-4in to a 6in tip,but go with a 5in tip at the most just my opinion!
And any tip is good I really like the rolled tips

its complete and not real difficult to install ... took me about 2 hrs to get it perfect on my truck .... Get complements all the time on the great sound ....

It's all a matter of opinion, and the bridge apparently goes both ways, because I think a 4 into 6 looks ridiculous.
