47rh rebuild ?'s
okay so apparently I trashed my already failing trans today
my question to the experienced fellows is what is absolutely necessary for a truck that's not going to have a fuel plate for the rest of its life and it's going to be driven hard has a lock up switch barrels are turned off the gov Springs all that good stuff
so on a low budget what besides a good torque converter do I need?

a valve body or shift kit
a 4.1 apply lever
a billet strap and anchor
some good servoes
a 5th plate in the direct drum
and a factory rebuild if you already trashed your trans. hopefully all your hard parts are in good shape. i like stock clutches. they grab well and if you do slip them they can be slipped several times before they are garbage. some of the higher priced clutches hold better but are trash if they slip.
about $400 worth of stuff after you buy the converter. pending install (your are a trans shop?)
consider a heavy flex plate. $400
