i just put on a afe bladerunner exhaust manifold on my friends 1996 12v and his turbo had a lot of turbo bark all the time now that it didnt before why would there be a lot more turbo bark with a new manifold

 

more drive poressure behing the turbine ..... sppols like noones bssiness im betting ...

 

ya pretty dam quick on the spool

 

careful with all that spool ablilty , can lift heads if your dont have it studded.... just in case.
I lifted mine , SO now I'm just gonna shell it all out at once now, new head - O-ringed, studs, raptor with a sump, etc ....

I have a II silver 64, will that manifold help my turbo spool a lot faster?

 

The newer manifold is getting the exhaust gasses out quicker compared to the stock.So you have more pressure going through when you let off the throttle.

And yes clintD. the manifold will help the turbo better than the stock one.

 

Yeah more efficently moving a larger volume of air is always a good thing, I have a DPS X 3 pc manifold.... mine screams with out the fuel plate v.... butnow with a leaky HG, I had to re-install the plate and just running FF ... for now
