racor is a fuel/water seperator unit installed on larce commercial vehicle's .... we use them on our charter buses ... last's about 2-3 times longer than just a couple of fuel filters ..

I am gonna install one on my F250 ... I have a 70 Gallon sidemount tank in the bed from a box truck .... I also run a lot of wasate bulk oil and fuel W/atf ... just a good way to keep track of the fuel .... spy glass on the bottom is see through.

Grandrimp - check your racor's o-ring at the top ... or if you have the other style where you have the big ring and the fuel bowl is on to like a fuel bowl .... put the big o-ring above and one below the ring..... this helped one of our customers busses .... if you could .. please post a pic ... i can help ya more that way ... im really current on most of the racor stuff

This racor is a screw-on filter. I believe the bleed-pump is where the leak is. I will disassemble it soon.

I pulled 12000 over the weekend and it runs more to my expectations. I weigh around 18000 empty.

Disassembled the filter housing tonight. The pump diaphragm was worn through. 4x4 you say your current on the racor stuff, whats the unit to go back with? Mine looked like the 400 series.

I would stick with the 400 ... it was specked to run it ... probably just rebuild the unit .. should be fairly cheep I would think ..

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

you could also just do dual water/fuel seperator spin on filters .... that would be cheep in the long run as the filters are usually cheep
