Having the same issues.
TPS sensor and computer? <--BD diesel sells a TPS voltage thing. Have it not installed yet. Believe it sets the right voltage from the sensor to the computer?

Throttle valve cable? adjusted right? <-- Mine is bad and sometimes loses adjustment and depending on my throttle position, jumps in and out of lockup.

Speed sensor? Different tire size and shift points get confused.

Am i close with any of this?

Mine did the same about 4 years ago
With scan tool I could see I was loosing tps
Voltage replaced tps took care of it.started
Doing again last month watched with scan
Tool tps working normal started watching
Other sensors found trans temp sensor reading
As low as 50 deg. In lock up & would jump up
To close to engine temp & it would go in & out
Of lock up while it was showing that
That trans need to see throttle position&
Trans temp above 60 deg to go into lockup
$20.00 trans temp sensor took care of my
Problem

That with a stock trans, or any valvebody work?
Where is the temp sensor for the trans? Its not the one in the cooler line i hope????? If so then maybe that is why i never fixed the problem I have and why its all over the place. i was waiting to put my trans temp probe in the cooler line and redo the lines with a bigger cooler. The wire to the orig probe in the trans line has been ripped off since i got it. Thought it was for the idiot light unless im wrong?
