Well I finally had time to work on it and I tried both fixes that were suggested and a few more. I checked to see if my alternator was the problem by completly unplugging it and taking out the fuse and that made no change. I then used a multimeter to check for ac noise and it passed there too. Finally I checked the readings for the tps/appt sensor and it would not even give a reading at idle (engine off but key on) position. So I adjusted the throttle lever rod until it read one volt at idle position and 2.2-2.9 more than idle at whide open throttle. Took it out for a drive and everything works great.
