how can I tell what gen my 5.9 liter 6Bt is?

Default how can I tell what gen my 5.9 liter 6Bt is?

I am looking to sell my engine and adapter plates and all the conversion stuff. but I don't know what Gen it is or how to tell and people keep asking. Any help?

What injection pump does your engine have? 1st gen has VE pump, 2nd gen has p-pump if 12v engine and VP44 pump if 24v, 3rd gen has CP3.

there is a cummins plate on the timing cover on the driver side in between the PS pump and injection pump that will tell you everything. but if its second gen it has a big *** injection pump with 6 fuel lines in the top, if its a first gen its a tiny pump about a 1/3 of the size

if that is correct then I have the second gen with a P-7100 pump. Thanks to all. I'd sell the whole truck for $6500!!
