So my truck mods are in the sig, problem is i can bury my 1600 degree pyrometer almost instantly, I dont really know much about the injectors, when I did my head studs I got them at the local injection shop , I was told they were 90 horse bosch RV injectors, i did notice that they were a 4 hole injector though. Just wondering if this could be my egt issue, I really didn't think I had enough fuel for the special not to clean up, my truck Smokes pretty good at WOT

 

What boost numbers are you showing?

 

right around 50 psi boost

 

Do you have your smoke screw all the way in? What psi do you have your starwheel set to for full fuel?

 

Havent messed with the smoke screw, but the afc is set to full fuel at 40 psi

 

Sounds like they are just really smokey injectors, they may not have the correct spray pattern to optimize atomization.

 

4 hole injectors are going to be 155* spray... your pistons are 145*.

consider some quality injectors with the correct spray pattern, you have 4 hole marine injectors which do make power, but at teh expense of smoke and high egt.

 

So that might be why I cant get better than 14 mpg out of it, I knew i should have just got some good injectors
