INTAKE HEATER

First off, welcome to DB!
Do you not wan any computer? The 1st Gen Cummins Dodges had an essentially stand alone module (computer) for JUST the grid heater and is pretty straightforward. I spliced together the 1st Gen computer, air temp sensor, and relays with the 2nd Gen grid and got it all to work just fine in my Fummins. But if you can't (or don't want to) source a 1st Gen module, then you can always rig up a momentary switch to a starter solenoid or other big current relay to power the grid heater for a bit when you push the button for a few (10-15) seconds before a cold start....kind of like on some older diesel tractors.
Hope this helps, and enjoy the site!
