15mpg ive owned my 95 regular cab since the original tires and it gets 14.5-15.5 every tank. right at 6400lbs with me. it will do a fuzz better if it is a standard. ive had 3.54 gears and 4.10's same fuel mileage. if you drive it like a grandpa never do over 55mph on the highway and never pull anything then you will see these astronomical numbers people post. if you drive it like 99.9% of us do you will see mid teens.

our 90 1st gen would constantly do over 20mpg but it weighed 1200lbs less

I usually get 16-17 taking it easy around town and 18-20 doing 70 on the highway.

Good answers fellas keep it up goin to look at her this weekend. Shes got 260k but has a rebuilt trans a new clutch rebuilt transfer case and new front end 6500 sound like a pretty good price? Its all stock still except has had the timing bumped and has been tuned by Jessup which im sure everyone here knows how he is but besides tat it still even has stock exhaust. Does anyone know if this truck has the better lookin shifter or the crooked one?

My truck its a vp44 24 Valve with an auto my Highway milage is 23mpg I generally get 18 where I live, and when im in heavy city traffic its 15-16 mpg. If you live in the city you will proably never see 20mpg or more. My truck weighs in at 9200 pounds with a full tank of diesel and all the tools. I dont see why a regular cab, standard cant get what I get, if you have properly adjusted valves, good fuel filter, and no bad bearing you should get close.
