i just bought a 1995 1 ton dump with a 5 speed and a cummins for a tranny swap. upon further inspection of the tranny it is a 4 speed with a low gear (L,1,2,3,4) can anyone tell me what transmission this is? is it even a new venture tranny?

If it's stock in a 95 Cummins it's an NV4500

 

yea i got that figured out know. i didnt realize the first nv4500s they put in those trucks with a 5 speed with low on the **** dumbass moment

I know what your talking about, me and my buddy have the same truck 5 speed mines 1-2-3-4-5 then R. his is L-1-2-3-4. Im not sure but i believe the one with the L is called the nv4500 G. g for granny low im guessing. But don't hold me to it.
