Default Starter selonoid contacts

Im just getting one click and no turn over battery is good fuses good everything turns on is it worth getting new contacts or should I just get a new starter idk if it's worth the wait vs chance it's gonna work I would just be mad if I waited a week and nothing thanks for the replies

I would buy the solenoid contacts, and a new starter. Then pull yours and see if the contacts are bad or not. If they are, $20 contact kit and your laughing. If not, put a starter into it and return the contacts.

Mine had bad contacts at one time, and I just replaced the contacts. That was close to 18 months ago now on a daily driver.

If I pull it can you just tell by looking if the contacts are bad

You bet! You will notice the contact area on the contact will be significantly thinner than the rest of the contact.


Some places offer an upgraded contact as well.

I put the upgraded contacts in my starter when it started going on me. That was over 5 years ago, and no signs of any issues.

Alright I'm gonna order them I just am worried because it just stopped all of a sudden never showed any symptoms of going out just wen to start it and it just clicked once over and over

Mine literally did the exact same thing 4 days ago, new contacts runs good now
