Default smoke and power loss

i have a 1996 12 v and recently ive been getting power loss and blue smoke when i get over 1500 rpm in 1st and 2nd gear i already replaced the fuel pump , injectors, strainer, fuel heater, fuel filter, overflow valve . any ideas on this the only other things i can think of is an injection pump or maybe a weak governor spring

Have you checked your timing?

blue smoke is oil not fuel related. how many miles are on the truck? sounds like bad news my friend...

Burning oil would produce a blue smoke consistently in any rpms or condition. The oil level would noticeably drop over time as well. A diesel can consume small amount of engine oil and you'd never notice it. Bluish white smoke usually indicates unburnt fuel. It has a distinctive sharp smell that can make your eyes water.

blue smoke is oil, white and or black are fuel, white is coolant generally with an odor. retarted timing or slipped timing would give you lots of white smoke and an engine that runs like pure crap all the time in any situation. check for blow by. could be valve seals they dry up and leak, hope for this or it could be a few bad rings. you run her hot right before it started running poorly? 1 and 6 get hotter than the others.

my 95 12v has around 450k miles on it and still runs very well.... i guess it all depends on how you treat your truck.... and still the same tranny!
