Default Stock Turbo?

Hey guys. My turbo just went out in my 1995 Ram 3500 4x4 12 valve with the automatic.

I was wondering what the stock turbo is on the 1995 autos. But on the truck now, the plate on the turbo says its a wh1c, I thought stock these trucks came with a hx35.

What turbo will bolt straight to my stock manifold without any modifications.

And I was also wondering if anyone has a good place to find a direct replacement turbo at a good price.

Thank you!!

If your truck is a 1994 manufacture year... it may have come with a WH1C..

junk it, and get a HX40, 4k GSK and #60 valvesprings... your truck will love you, and you will love your truck

later you can add on a HX60 if you find one and you won't experience any drive pressure problems

94 and early 95's came with WH1C turbos. for all argument purposes the wh1c and hx35 are identical except the hx uses a big snap ring to hold the cover on and the wh1c uses 4 bolts. demensions are identical so a turbo from 94-2002 will fall right into place. watch out fot the hy35 i think it came on the 99-02 auto trucks, its still a bolt on but its a much less disirable turbo.

Excellent, thanks guys. So my truck has a t3 flange correct? Will everything hook up and fit to a hx40?

you will need an hx40 downpipe for sure. and make sure you get a hx40 with a t3 foot not a t4 other than that yes it will bolt right in.

A he351cw is a pretty good budget upgrade. I was thinking about an hx40 myself, there are some really cheap ones on eBay but they just seem too cheap and there plenty of horror stories of the eBay hx40 turbos. I was thinking about a hx40 or a used he351.
