12v cummins wont crank
I'm new here so please.bear with me. I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 12v. I came home from work one day, parked the truck came back down about an hour later and the truck would not start, turn over or anything. I check the fuses, relays and solenoids and still nothing and just replaced the starter. The truck "clicks" when I try to crank it but the starter doesn't move. Any ideas???
Id get under the truck first and check all your connections from the solenoid to the starter on the truck, start simple...

Worse cam to worse take the starter off and use jumpers to make sure the starter is good, but its kinda hard to diagnoise the problem without being there...

I looked and all the connections are good, and my grounds are both good. I tried everything I could think of before I bought that new starter but still nothing. I'm sure there something I'm.missing or looking over
Yea I tried jumping it off. But it just won't do anything all.my interior lights come on, the gauges all work and the volt meter says between 8 and 14. When I turn the key its just silent and won't even try to turn over
Check all my connections and everything is good. So I got a screw driver and touched the positive with the ignition on the starter and it started. So what now? Ignitions switch? When I turn the ignition over the relay in the fuse box clicks
