Ok ask if he has ever touched the injection pump and turned it up and if so how much, on 12 valves you can increase the amount of fuel deliverd...

OK so he did turn up the fuel pump he also changed the timing in the engine to 18 degrees. The lift pump was changed to an airdog 150 pump that is mounted on the frame rail. He also put in a volcan draw straw in the tank with 1/2in fuel lines.

Ok well that kind of timing ok, alot of guys do it for a little extra power, so nothing crazy, and hes got good fuel going to it, so think its decent in that aspect.

What would you say is a reasonable price to pay for a truck like this knowing its never had any tranny for engine rebuilds?

The engine cabable of 500k as long as its has been maintained well, the tranny can last a while to if they are taken care of, I have 236K on my auto and its going strong. 3-5K is where I think it belongs, because you can buy alot nicer and lower miles for that price of 9 grand... I paid 6750 for mine with 212K on it, and a new front end...
