Default keep the 24v or get the 12v

Alright guys I have the chance to trade my 24v on a 96 12v... will the 12v make the power of my 24v without dumping more than some gauges and a turbo on it as far performance goes?

The 96 will run much more reliable circles around the 24 valve. 60# valve springs and the 4k rpm springs for the pump are a great mod.

You can make both trucks equally fast/powerful/reliable... It really just comes down to preference!

I'd say go with whichever truck is in better overall condition, if they were equal in condition I'd take the 12 valve.

I think the 24 Valve is just as reliable as a 12 Valve if you know how to monitor the problems that cause the death of the injection pump, it just comes down to prefference, but there are times I am glad I have an electric lift pump, no more hand priming for me!!!

A 230 P-Pump will make the same power as a 24valve stock with only moving the stock plate forward...

with 4k GSK, #60 Valvesprings, a good fuel plate (#100? or remove it?) and AFC tuning... you will keep your mileage and outrun any 24valve with a chip...
