Default "smokeswitch"

I have a "friend" who wants to do a smokeswitch on his LBZ, he's wondering whether or not he should send power to the MAF sensor as well as the MAP sensor in order to fool the ecm into makin a puff of smoke for him here or there. Ive heard of people bridging the 5v power supply and the signal wire of the MAP but is it necissary to do the same for the MAF. any help you could offer my friend would be very much appreciated

yes you can, im not gonna point you in the right direction cause honestly crap like that is the reason why emmisions are getting tighter and tighter on diesels.

if you want to make more power efficiently id be glad to help out with that though

Yeah i hear ya, i want to keep emissions off our backs just as much as the next guy.. im not sure if im gonna do this or not but itd be kinda fun to puff a little bit of smoke every once and a while and then be able to shut it off. thats all im sayin.
Theres a whole bunch of guys that are smokin black all the time because their chips injectors ect and nobody seems to have anything against that just an observation.

I took a look at the other thread.. theres the diagram that confused me in the first place cause it shows it taking power of the 5v lead of the MAP sensor and sending it to both the signal wire on the MAP and the MAF IN wire on the MAF sensor
any thoughts on that? is the MAF wire tap necissary?

^^^^ thats the one that i used, except i used a 33ohm resistor. id like to find a way to make the resistance adjustable on the fly to change the smoke output

Adjustable resistor = potentiometer
basicly just a dial that allows you to add or subtract resistance as you need it.
(like a dimmer switch for a lighting circuit)
im sure you could get one a radio shack, only problem is that at some point you have so little resistance it throws codes for overboosting ect and goes into limp mode

those guys are wanting to make more power and the smoke is a part of more power. you other guys are just making smoke because you think it looks cool.
