does anyone have any first hand experience or knowledge of the bd performance allison 6 speed?i want the suncoast stage 5,but not practical(i'm in b.c canada ,shipping+tax+exchange rate=ridiculous price)so i am forced to go with a bd whos shop is 20 minutes away!any input on bd vs. suncoast would be helpful.the rep said 3 yr warranty,he wasnt sure on the hp /torque ratings or what exactly is included in their performance 6speed? thanks everyone

 

a 3 year warranty is always nice to have. I have no experience with BD Trans, but I know LOTS and LOTS of folks have put some 4 digit #'s through a SC IV..

As long as BD says they will warranty your trans for 3 yrs no mater how much power you put to it.. sounds like it would at least be worth a try.

 

pretty sure they only warranty it if they install it!i was going to do it myself to save some $$$.so no warranty,but if its not tried tested and tough i might wanna spend the couple grand extra for the suncoast???

 

I would give BD a call and find out for sure on there warranty. I am almost positive that they will still honor the warranty even if they didn't install it. Ive never sold any BD stuff for the Allison so I don't have any feedback to give ya. But I have sold alot of Suncoast stuff for them and everyone love them.

well i wish i could get a stage v suncoast to canada,i,m not hearing anything great about the bd tranny,500 rwhp max it seems?mostly because no one has one!someone smuggle me a suncoast across the border!!!
