Considering there is only one pipe coming off the turbo, duals is for looks.

The biggest question is- How loud do you want it?

I pull my heavy a$$ trailer too much to want to hear any droan in the cab, so I still run the stock muffler and just deleted the cat. No added noise in the cab.....keeps wifey happy.

MBRP and Magnaflow mufflers alone sound good. If you want more noise, then delete the kitty.

You can either: buy the muffler and cut and splice. Buy a 'cat back', dirrect bolt in. or buy what's called the 'turbo back', it's a full replacement that deletes the cat and adds the muffler and tailpipe.

Decisions, decisions.....

As mentioned already it depends on the Sound you want. The two most popular ones we deal with are MBRP and Magnaflow. MBRP will be louder in and out of the cab, the Magnaflow will be quieter in the cab, but have a deeper tone outside. This all due to muffler can size, MBRP is 5" diameter x 24" long, Magnaflow 7" diameter x 30"

You'll get approx. 75-80% of the benefit of a turbo-back with a cat-back
The Magnaflows can be seen here.

Ive got a 4" downpipe back MBRP system .. It deleted my cat, and replaced the muffler like these guys said with the MBRP muffler. The exhaust went together flawlessly.. it was harder to take out the old crap than to put in the new system. My wife and I did the whole job in about an hour. With no cat, and the MBRP muffler, its nice..

I couldnt tell much difference in the cab, over what I had, which was just a stock cat. Now I have the MBRP Muffler out, and its straight piped. I pull my 5th wheel camper ALOT.. like.. weekly, for 3 or 400 miles each trip. And the in cab drone is minimal. I still talk on my cell just fine. But outside the cab.. WOW.. its really loud behind me..

I think duals on our trucks is silly, but its all in your preference. I have heard alot of good things about MBRP and diamondeye and magnaflow..

Just find a good deal from one of our vendors, get the setup you want, and Im sure you will be happy.

u should hear the drone on my truck kc, it sounds like a freakin helicopter when i high idle it.

heres like a 5 to 7hp gain when deleting the cat when going with a full 4 inch exhaust and maybe a few degrees drop in egts. if ur lookin into an exhaust a 4 inch would do ya best

How does the truck sound straight piped compared to with the MBRP muffler? Is it a nice low growl or just a loud diesel? I got no cat on my truck and I'm thinking about replacing just the muffler or straight piping it...

Yeah, I think down pipe is the same as turbo back.

Yes Downpipe back is considered "turbo back" but Diamoneye actually sells a TRUE TURBO BACK with downpipe..

As for the sound, its a nice deep grumble..
