Default D-Max Q?

I have a buddy with a 2006 D-max has bully dog tripple dog, intake, cat back exhaust.. he wants to delete the kitty but was told his check engine light will always be on... has anyone done away with the cat and not had this issue on a 06???..

I know on my powerstroke I went 4" turbo back and have no problems with CEL light..

Thanks

it is really a hit or miss thing i did mine and got codes but never a CEL if he does it and it starts to show a CEL then he can always get a finger stick and that will take care of the problem

Yep, exactly what he said. It will be hit or miss whether it throws a CEL or not. If it does he will just need to get the Finger Stick to fool the ECM. While he's there he may as well do the EGR blocker plate and reroute the PCV system.

It sends a constant signal to the ECM telling it that the MAF and EGR are within proper range. You can get them from Kennedy Diesel. Google it and he pops up first. He also has the blocker plates.

From his mods thats he's done it doesnt look like he is a good candidate for EFI Live. Without having a built tranny and having tuning knowledge its going to be WAY overkill for his application...but YES, EFI Live will let you lie to yo puter.

PPE tuners can disable the EGR too IIRC.
