Default Biggest Downpipe size?

Hey ya'll. I need a new exhaust bc the 4inch I have on there now is rotted out. I want to get a 5inch from the downpipe back but I dont know how big of a downpipe I can go. Anyone have any input?

4" is plenty big for a Dmax... And yes I agree, it is quite tough installing it

Going with stainless this time? I assume the last exhaust wasn't. Stainless is expensive but should just about last forever. Of course, the exhaust rotting out gives you a good excuse to upgrade with the times.

depends on the grade of stainless.... the lower grade will last only about as long as aluminized steel

Been there, done that with an 04 psd I used to have. Go with a better grade of Stainless steel. It may be a few more bucks, but its worth it. Beats doing it twice. Ends up costing more in the long run if you do it on the cheap .

Brain fade again, what's the number of the higher grade stainless? 349 or 409 or something like that? I believe a magnet shouldn't stick to it, but that doesn't help when mailordering.

304SS is the higher grade, 409SS is fine for someone in the southern states that has no corrosion causing elements like salted roads and snow in winter
