Default Tranny drop needed?

If i get transgo jr. do i have to drop the tranny since its the 5 speed or is it possible to just take the pan off and do it that way? Any help is appreciated because i want my tranny to hold under a heavy tune.

For a "heavy tune" just build the trans and call it good. Otherwise you'll wind up rebuilding it anyhow.

not the Jr., not on the 5-speed, it wont help alleviate the issues that already exist, the 5-speed needs the full transgo shift kit

yep you're probably on the right track, the suncoast GMAX 5pac is probably going to do more than you ask of it for 500hp and less
