Default Limp with the Edge/Programers - Codes?

My friend has an '04.5 LLY truck.

He ran the Edge Juice with Attitude on Level-5 on it for 2 years with 0 issues. Then he "limped" his truck.

Ever since then if he is relatively rough on it in Level-5, it will "limp". It hasn't happened on Level-4 yet. Also, this doesn't happen with his Superchips (just an FYI). He also does not "stack" his programmers.

Now, through some searching, I have found that it is most likely his transmission (5-speed Ally) that is "limping". He has had a scan-tool plugged in, and it doesn't show any sort of codes for the Trans. It did, however, show some Fuel Pressure Regulator codes...

Will some sort of code for the Trans be displayed? Could the FPR be causing this issue? Any way to fix this issue (overall)? I have heard good things about the TransGo Jr, but have no real idea about his truck (other than it kicks the crap out of my 6.0).

Any guidance would be appreciated.

He is limping the trans. Its a feature to keep from toasting the trans. The trans will go into limp if it slips. It should throw CEL but idk what the code would be. Ive learned to just not lay into it as hard when im running in level 5.

You can't pull Allison trouble codes unless you've got EFI Live or a Tech II. The transmission is probably just starting to wear out. To be honest I'm surprised he made it that long on level 5!!! I limped on a +75hp tune the first time I did a WOT run on my '03. Basically his only option now is a rebuild, or else he'll just have to lay off the throttle to avoid making it slip, because it will only get worse.

It doesnt mean your tranny is toast. Ive been driving mine for 2 years and the first time i hit it in level 5 the trans limped (scared me to death). I drive with a heavy *** foot too. I have just learned at what points i can give her hell and at what points to lay off. If you are holding it at WOT at 60+ mph its goin to slip. at least on mine because its trying to send a lot of power through the trans to get those big *** tires to turn faster.
