Default Edge with attitude issues

Im running the edge with attitude on my 2005 lly duramax. the problem is if i stay in the throttle the truck will cut out. it feels like lack of fuel? its not throwing any codes so i dont know were to start. anyone have any ideas?

i run the same chip. . . anything over level 3 you wont get enough fuel. . . install a lift pump and you wont have any lack of fuel. . .

Is this true, and common on these trucks? A friend of mine is having similar issues with his '05 DMax. He is also getting injector codes with his EJWA CS. I suggested a FASS Platinum 95 for his application. He's not looking to go crazy, just tow better and better mileage.
