Default Exhaust Systems

Looking into upgradeing my stock exhaust into an aftermarket system. I want something from a turbo back thats aggressive sounding but not to loud. (on my 2500HD i have ceramic headers no cats into a flowmaster 40 and its LOUD!! it doesnt bother me at all but my wife well thats another story)

JUst wondering what you guys recomend, and what your using, cause i can read all the manufacture articles on the internet but Id rather have a real world analysis on the product. Thanks in advance!!

I gots a MBRP front pipe going into a Magnaflow system. I am really happy with the sound. It has just enough of a rumble to let you know you're in a truck without being annoying. I keep rolling the windows down when I go under overpasses or passing semis. Love it.

thats kinda what i want, i need something that i know is there but not loud enough to **** off my wife. She refuses to ride in my 2500 (which isnt a bad thing) . the inside drone is kinda bad (im way use to it) but thats what they make subwoofers for.

I personally don't think you can go wrong with either MBRP or Magnaflow. I just preferred the Magnaflow sound so that's why I have a mixed system.

I have a MBRP 5" on mine. It isn't obtrusive going down the highway. Now it is a toss up which is louder, the pipe or the Tires.

It depends on how much HP you are planning on making. If you're staying under 600 I don't think you need 5".

I would suggest 4". The 5" system was on when I bought it. A 6" tip sure does look nice. My 2 yr old nephew stuck a rubber ball in there a couple weeks back.

Stick to the 4". Mine is not bad at all, even pulling the camper. I do have to admit it does sound better on the LMM, but it wasn't bad on the LLY. Not noticable at an idle but a little rumble when taking off. BTW I have a 4" downpipe back with a Borla muffler in place....
