Default Good, Basic LLY Programmer/Tuner

Ok so I'm getting my Christmas list ready and I think the top of the list is a programmer. I don't want one that's gonna tear things up.

I also need to have speedo correction.

What is a decent one that will add some horsepower but mainly help with fuel mileage?

I'd ideally like 3 different power levels and change on the fly.

I've read good things about the Predator. It doesn't have the change on the fly but that's OK. The price seems pretty good for what you get.

would you prefer used or new?

i seen some PPE tuners go for a good price.

But Predator is less likely to tear stuff up. And i hear good things about it.

Well as long as there ain't a problem with it and it's complete I'd take a used one. I know management would prefer saving some money.

I was thinking an Edje J/A would be great but I don't think I can trust myself with one.

With the PPE u Can remove the Cat and disable the code(if one should arrive), Block the EGR, and Swiss Cheese the stock airbox and have no problems.

You run a higher risk of limping the transmission with a box like the Edge, switching tunes on the fly and romping on it with the stock transmission and not giving it enough time to learn. But if you keep it under 80Hp you shouldn't have a problem with it, its the people who go from economy to a hot tune who limp their trans.

Yeah I was thinking about doing the EGR one day down the road. IDK. Don't want any warranty problems though.

Whats a warranty?

Oh wait i got a LB7

Well it depends on what else u want to do bomb wise, obviously you don't really need an intake, the stock one can support 500hp with some mods.
looks like you got the exhaust from your pics. The only thing the intake does is add -5hp and make the turbo louder....I miss that sound, i switched back to stock.

I had the predator on my LLY and limped the tranny on the 3rd level.

It was perfect for me, but you have to be careful between 4 and 5 shifts, it is not change on the fly in fact it is slow to re program.

IMO I would stay away from the Edge.
