Default Drag tires and wheels ???

OK, we plan on drag racing my dads 98 dually a lot this year. it is 4X4 but we don't wanna run it in four-wheel. we already took 4 dually rims and had them made into 2 large 16X16 rims that will still utilize the stock simulators. BUT..... finding tires is almost impossible as we want it to be street legal with the large tires. we found a set but we want something with more tread on em.

so here is my question. i keep seeing on the net and in magazines 8-lug truck with 15" diameter rims...how do they get them to work? 15" rims are alot easier to get tires for.

Thanks
Cody

15" rims aren't going to clear your front calipers or rear drums for that matter. Sorry bud

Back in the 70's the biggest rear end was a non floater dana 60, much more compact compared to a full floater dana 70 or 80.

Dana 60 drag car with 15" rims.... tight

Dana 80 with 16" rims.... tight
