I'm doing a little research into buying a trouble code scanner. I'm thinking about an Innova 3110 Can0BD2 or an Actron 0BD II . Sure wouldn't want to be tripping with the camper and throw a code because of my dumbness. What do you have ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Looking To Buy A SCANNER
I'm doing a little research into buying a trouble code scanner. I'm thinking about an Innova 3110 Can0BD2 or an Actron 0BD II . Sure wouldn't want to be tripping with the camper and throw a code because of my dumbness.

how much are you looking to spend? I have a snapon solus and it is good. I am updated to 2005. there are lots of good "generic" scan tools out there that can be had pretty cheap. my solus was about $3800. I have a snapon mt2500 updated to 2001 that I would let go fairly cheap.

I almost bought a Modis. but I already had a mt2500 and a vantage. it would have cost me almost as much to upgrade the 2500 than it was to get the solus. plus I got all the asian as well. -

This is what I use it is a sweet unit and pretty cheap too.
you can upgrade to the enhanced Software and check EVERY sensor on your truck.........:j: http://www.autoenginuity.com/index.html you gotta have a laptop to run it. -

 Also comes with Speed Tracer, estimated HP/TQ, 1/4 mile times ect. Also does data logging. Been looking at the Chrysler package to add on so I can read all the factory sensors. -

I have a Snap on brick. Will need update cartridge and wiring connectors.
Will sell cheap since I no longer need it. Worked last time I used it. $200.00 -

I just bought an Actron 9135, code reader,eraser. $89.00 at Sears with the Craftsman discount.
I was going to go SMARTY but I want to wait and see if Marco can work out the bugs with the Auto trans. programming first. Then I will get SMARTER! -

My diABLO SPORT TUNER CHECKS ALL CODES AND CAN ERASE THEM, i CAN ALSO LOOK AT MOST OF THE TRUCKS SENSORS, UNDETECTABLE BY DEALER, 3 TUNING PROGRAMS AND SOON TO BE ADJUST ON THE FLY.
$300. i SOLD MY aCTRON BECAUSE OF IT. -

I will say nothing against the smarty, just hoping Marco has the chance to get it straight, I will be waiting for the fix before I buy one. -

for a DIY mech I like my Actron 9145 it reads pretty much every code that the truck can through. But it does not read tranny codes. Pretty good price too around 290. -
